well yeah, but most maps require service
especially tracking ones
like google or apple
It requires ground stations
If you go to far south it stops working
for once im agreeing with citizen, GPS cannot work everywhere
maps can tho
<@413153787801501697> cuz you are in a serviced area
offline maps arent GPS
Gps service. Not cell
GPS tracks your location and such
ground positioning system
^^;
o7
it requires service lmao
cool

Well. From what ive researched and witnessed, it doesn't work in Antarctica once you get aways from the coastline
Wifi
Gps will get your location also
airplane mode just deafens your communications, not mute
What have we done
In most areas
yeah
GPS requires *some* sort of connection, wether it be wifi, cell, or a tower that gives off a signal
Not in Antarctica
Not everywhere in Antarctica. Not proven
Proven it cuts out
in some areas, it gives off a free location without any cell or wifi
theres towers, bud
@Derek Nelson I'm mentally confused I just confused that if they hate us and i think I'm dumb to believe the earth is flat people bully me for believing the earth is flat people dm saying bad stuff they think I'm a kid with no life
not all devices have GPS, it needs some sort of component in it that has a signal and such
The guys that supposedly cross Antarctica stop pinging on garmin gps once they leave the coast
yeh
you eventually lose connection
@Mr.science You could just not believe in it
If it was satellites around a globe you should never lose connection
