it may be possible that the clockwork mechanism of this realm portion may open periodically... and if that is the case perhaps the "dome" or toroidal barrier to an inner or outer concentric ring may act as a gate... but that is all speculation

the beings outside of this world have control over the realm you enter at death some souls allign with their agenda and are reborn into positions of power instead of trying to break the cycle they want what power they can take by helping the gods

its more likely that the few make up scary and wild stories to keep their control over people who are just like them this here in this world

sure they can tell a scary story all they want but that would just make me want to fight more

there may be people who have more knowledge about how things work though and have passed down that knowledge in secret

a good portion of evidence comes from near death experiences turn all that backwards and remove the personal interpretations people see of their gods and important memories from there lives and you will see the purpose is to get you to rebirth
