I would imagine it probably has something to do with the moon, perhaps being "charged" by the sun
How is it being charged to be visible if it is on the opposite where it is dark?
looks can be deceiving when surfaces / fluidic things are curved / bending

So when a ship sail's to the horizon, how do we observe that ? Do we see first the body of the ship go down then the sails or the entire ship kind of disappear because it go's too far to observe ?

When I look at the table from a little higher I can also see the end of it
But the earth is round so you can’t see the end
And what happens when you walk of it or has it never been done
