Original sin is a Catholic doctrine
Smh, the reason there is mercy in the New Testament is because Jesus died
On the cross
Old testament is very outdated
I don't understand this sin thing. I mean, I do in concept, but not in how it's perceived in the bible. The new testament says you can ask forgiveness and all sin is cleared. However, the bible also says that blasphemy is unforgivable. Paradox
Do you understand what blasphemy is?
Yes
All sins are forgivable but not blasphemy
Omg can you on
*not
@Imaweirdpup That's a paradox
The wages of sin is death, sin is evil, you can be forgiven once you Repent, unless you commit the one unforgivable sin.
Right
The old testament says it's a sin to mix meat and dairy
And geez chill out with the pictures
The old testament says not to boil a calf in the milk of its mother, not about mixing meat and dairy
So if you blaspheme at any point, you're fucked for all eternity, regardless of remorse and repentance.
That's fucking bullshit.
How
Exodus 23:19
**Exodus 23:19 - New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)**
```Dust
<19> The choicest of the first fruits of your ground you shall bring into the house of the Lord your God. You shall not boil a kid in its mother's milk. ```
It isn't regular blasphemy which is the unforgivable blasphemy
You still can't have your cake and eat it
So you want to both sin and get into the kingdom of God?
No
Really though, because if you respect someone you won’t speak out against them like that.
Eating pork is also a sin according to old testament
I want this rubbish of unforgivable sin to be tossed out ans for you to admit it's a paradox.
And if you believe in God, then he is the most powerful being in the universe
@Imaweirdpup You're not understanding
Just everything about old testament is outdated
Help me understand please
Not saying that sarcastically I really do want to understand
If you can repent and be given the grace of God, you can't have committed an unforgivable sin.
Ever
