Unsure

2019-05-01 14:49:42 UTC

let me ask this if the boat disappears over the curve bottom first them we zoom in and it disappears bottom first again then u cant see it but u can adjust the color and contrast and still see the shape of the boat did it go over the curve then lol

2019-05-01 14:50:10 UTC

if it was over the curve would it be possible to see it adjusting color and contrast

2019-05-01 14:50:33 UTC

that is what the globe defenders will say we are seeing it through the water i feel

2019-05-01 14:50:52 UTC

I don’t know anything about that sort of thing.

2019-05-01 14:51:10 UTC

How light behaves and such I mean

2019-05-01 14:51:37 UTC

some people say light doesnt actually travel it propogates through the medium or something

2019-05-01 14:51:54 UTC

i mean its a wave and a particle which is weird

2019-05-01 14:52:10 UTC

depending on if we observe it or not

2019-05-01 14:52:15 UTC

that is the weird part

2019-05-01 14:52:25 UTC

double slit experiment

2019-05-01 14:52:44 UTC

if we observe the light its one way and if we dont observe its another way

2019-05-01 14:52:48 UTC

Well I think it was Einstein who started to theorize about the one way speed of light. But it’s the quintessential catch 22 since in order to test the one way speed of light you have to know the one way speed of light

2019-05-01 14:52:50 UTC

i think thats how it worked

2019-05-01 14:53:03 UTC

There is also this movie showing something weird happening in the horizon https://youtu.be/_uyFC-Tgnz0

2019-05-01 14:54:19 UTC

@jeremy when it’s tested as a particle it’s a particle. When it’s tested as a wave it’s a wave

2019-05-01 14:54:55 UTC

i think it has to do with if we observe it or not

2019-05-01 14:55:11 UTC

if we look its one way if we dont look its another way

2019-05-01 14:56:03 UTC

i was talkin about the double slit experiment

2019-05-01 14:56:35 UTC

Double slit is often misinterpreted

2019-05-01 14:57:09 UTC

Have to be careful with that one

2019-05-01 14:57:57 UTC

well isnt it if we observe the light or observe the results its one way and if we dont its the other way ?

2019-05-01 14:58:11 UTC

i know it has something to do with us observing somehow

2019-05-01 14:58:25 UTC

us observing changes the result in the same way everytime

2019-05-01 14:58:41 UTC

No. If it’s actively tested as a wave it shows up as a wave. If it’s actively tested as a particle then it’s a particle

2019-05-01 14:58:54 UTC

u sure?

2019-05-01 14:59:06 UTC

i thought it had to do with us observing

2019-05-01 14:59:33 UTC

I honk you’re thinking of some sort of schroedingers cat scenario

2019-05-01 14:59:37 UTC

na

2019-05-01 14:59:41 UTC

My Cat has passed the test to be a cat

2019-05-01 14:59:43 UTC

Basically, according to double slit, if anything interacts with an event (and observing is considered an interaction), that event will fundamentally change in some way.

2019-05-01 14:59:55 UTC

not the stupid cat thing that makes as much sense as infinite monkeys on infinite typewriters

2019-05-01 15:00:12 UTC

A cat that knocks the front door

2019-05-01 15:00:29 UTC

so the double slit is specifically if we observe it changes the form light takes

2019-05-01 15:00:44 UTC

so when we dont look its one way and when we do look its the other way

2019-05-01 15:01:11 UTC

I think that sort of stuff states that if you don’t observe it’s just kind of up in the air

2019-05-01 15:01:13 UTC

Double slit doesn’t have to do with light specifically
