why does it need a tint?
does that not make you think the game looks shit?
^
it's like the instagram filter girls
it's just a fog to hide distant details and shitty textures 😛
looks like PS2 era
Assuming the filter is of in game quality
Which I personally doubt considering the stark difference in color tone
I was also confused at first cause I assumed you were referring to something Silent Hill 2 related
yeah well, at least silent hill used the PS2 limitation to fit the genre and the lore
I wasn't saying that negatively
What Silent Hill 2 accomplished is a goddamn masterpiece all things considered
it's not my kind of game but i have to agree with you
I don't know why people did that : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PI7EsNJoAdw
Do no fog tests?
yeah
especially when the whole map isn't rendered
K
Looks naked for a silent hill game
Im assuming just to see
And where the borders are in the game
^ Same as my playthroughs o games without textures.
It's fun to see games get picked apart.
True
It's like disecting a dead body to see how the body works when they teach students of biology / health.
Or sometimes it just makes the game run better on the computer.
well, you don't really need to to that to know the limitations of the game considering the console it was developed for
300MHz CPU with 32MB ram and a GPU of 150Mhz...
that's the specs of the PS2
To know the extent you do
well I was still young at that time and I didn't really know much about game design but I already expected such thing
I was 14 when SH2 was release
I remember when I first seen Silent Hill 3 on the back of the MGS2 manual. I was in awe with the rustic look.
First time I ever heard of Silent Hill.
Little did I know it would someday become one of my favorite series.
It was on the back of themanual in the Substance version.
oh, yeah, substance ^^"
I was about to say
first release of MGS2 is older than SH2
I wouldn't expect SH3 advertisment in that
