the anime follows the "true" ending in the visual novel
I'm not sure if I want to watch the anime first or if I want to play the VN.
I'm not watching anything right now, so I have the perfect window to watch it. But at the same time, I'm in the mood for a visual novel.
The anime is really good
The visual novel is the source material though
Both are good
If I watch the anime first, I have a few back-up VNs I can play.
I'm interested in playing the fate games but they aren't really available anywhere
Clannad VN is good also btw
The problem with VNs for me is that most of the ones I'm interested in are the older and darker ones from the 90s that you have to pirate to get ahold of them nowadays. Then with that you have to put up with installing proper English patches.
yea
I'd have to do that for the fate games
Is Yu-no good?
Does the company that makes Fate still exist? Cause I noticed the ones I play are from companies that used to be big but are no longer open.
It was good, but since it was older, it had sex scenes that ruined the moments, in my opinion.
Yea, I think typemoon is still around
they make the fate games
Basically my opinion is: The story of Yu-No is pretty good, but it would have worked better as a normal sci-fi visual novel without the eroge content.
I got muv-luv on steam but am waiting for the second part to release also before I play through it
Yea, I'm not really interested in the eroge content
I haven't heard of that one.
Yeah. I would wait and see how the remake (out this month) turns out instead.
Plus Mages is working on an anime adaption.
I think the anime adaption is going to pull in a lot of Re:Zero fans if they do it right.
why?
is there a connection between the two
The concept of doing things over to prevent bad situations.
Steins;Gate is probably best handling of time travel I've seen
Yeah, that's one reasn why I want to check it out, to see how they handle the concept.

This is the trailer for the new Yu-No, it's for the PS4 remake, but I think the anime will be pretty similar.
You might be able to pick up on visual themes that are similar to Re:Zero.
Like some fantasy elements with an emotional-sounding song.
I want to play that now
I see that Steins;Gate is justthe standard 24 episodes, so I may go with the anime first.
Since the visual novel is on Steam, I'll be able to buy it later on and not feel bad about piracy like with these older games.
Yea
The anime is really good
highly recommend
it's 3rd highest rated show on animelist
Yeah. I got a few hours before my usual media enjoyment timeslot, so the anime is going to be my pick for tonight's show.
Then that just leaves a visual novel to play.
I'd say the fruit of grisaia but that is depressing as fuck
A few of the routes aren't as depressing as the others
There's one called Eve Burst that is on my list, but I know absolutely nothing of the plot or the genre it's in, I just know that the opening for it caught my attention.
But I am looking for something that can be depressing. Or at least something that would give me chills.
Play the fruit of grisaia then
