Least you got a history lesson on the creation of Japan. 😛
Still, that final part of the game constantly made my heart sink as all the answers started flowing in.
@Chaos How good is the Steins;Gate visual novel?
After having beat Yu-No, I'm now in the mood for more time travel stuff, and the fact that the company who made Steins;Gate is remaking Yu-No makes me even more curious about the visual novel.
It's complicated as far as visual novels go
Yu-No was complicated. 😛
All the branching is based on when and how you use your phone
But it's really good
But if you want to reach a particular ending or something I'd suggest you look up the flowchart for the choices
otherwise you'll probably not reach it
That's not too bad of a problem, Yu-No was virtually impossible without a guide as you had to "time travel" between routes to fetch items in your attempt at reaching the overall ending of the game.
I read that Chaos;Child is in the same universe, do I have to look into that game to understand some stuff?
No
steins gate is on it's own
You don't need anything to understand
Okay that's good, cause I'm more interested in Steins;Gate than I am in Chaos;Child.
yea I don't know anything about chaos;child
I got steins gate visual novel because the anime is one of my favourite animes
the anime follows the "true" ending in the visual novel
I'm not sure if I want to watch the anime first or if I want to play the VN.
I'm not watching anything right now, so I have the perfect window to watch it. But at the same time, I'm in the mood for a visual novel.
The anime is really good
The visual novel is the source material though
If I watch the anime first, I have a few back-up VNs I can play.
I'm interested in playing the fate games but they aren't really available anywhere
Clannad VN is good also btw
The problem with VNs for me is that most of the ones I'm interested in are the older and darker ones from the 90s that you have to pirate to get ahold of them nowadays. Then with that you have to put up with installing proper English patches.
yea
I'd have to do that for the fate games
Is Yu-no good?
Does the company that makes Fate still exist? Cause I noticed the ones I play are from companies that used to be big but are no longer open.
It was good, but since it was older, it had sex scenes that ruined the moments, in my opinion.
Yea, I think typemoon is still around
they make the fate games
Basically my opinion is: The story of Yu-No is pretty good, but it would have worked better as a normal sci-fi visual novel without the eroge content.
I got muv-luv on steam but am waiting for the second part to release also before I play through it
Yea, I'm not really interested in the eroge content
I haven't heard of that one.
Yeah. I would wait and see how the remake (out this month) turns out instead.
Plus Mages is working on an anime adaption.
I think the anime adaption is going to pull in a lot of Re:Zero fans if they do it right.
why?
is there a connection between the two
The concept of doing things over to prevent bad situations.
