Real talk tho: has Konami said *anything* about Survive recently? Seems like a waste to just cancel it
last time was oct 2016, so a bit over 8 months ago
the won't cancel it unless they do it publicly
Just think about how Silent Hills was canceled. They don't mind the fans so a shitty spin off that piss off fans is really the last thing they have in their mind if they want to cancel it

Shinakawa already did concept art for the main characters in the Zombies game mode for the new COD. Konami could easily do it as a promotion and even win over CODfags
What would that Crossover be? The COD kids join Diamond Dogs? That would be litteraly spitting on MGS History...
I can see them including the SKULLs in COD zombies or include the main cast in MG Survive somehow

Mgsv was bad for a number of reasons and kojima wanted it to be bad. Considering all that came out of it like him being fired, to the treatment of staff. Konami is exactly what they are selling now. Shadows of there former selves. Mgsv had missing elements all over the place and the only real boss was the metal gear and even that looked like it was lacking. The guy in the mask wasnt even close to being a threat and the story was to be found in cassettes? Plus kiethers dialogue was non existant and ocelot wasnt himself. The thing that looked to do it justice story wise was emerichs dad but besides that the gameplay itself seemed pretty good besides the missions repeating themselves. As for the twist at the end it was a kick in the teeth to those who wanted to see the events that lead to outer heaven and big boss demise into madness. 4 was the last metal gear solid. Rising is a great stand alone for raiden and could have had a sequal as it was fun and had a good story.

You don't know what Kojima wanted it to be and you and we will probably never know. Just like the months of voice acting and facial mocap that Keifer did are not in the game (we may have like 4 days worth of job in the game, seriously), you can't really know what the story was supposed to look like either. You're just ranting for the purpose of ranting about a game that's been killed in the bud by Konami.

I was, but there is no fresh news and now it delayed to 2018
they probably will probably end up having to hire a 3rd dislabed one-armed developper to boost their developping speed if they want to release before Tokyo Olympics.
