Then in the bottom left it was giving off the log of who joined/left.
well at least it didn't used you too much data
Neh, Playing online doesn't use up data for me.
I was always confused about it.
Cause I remember in MGO2 I had thousands of hours, I'd be playing for 16 to 20 hours straight, and the data would only ever go down by a small amount.
yeah, online gaming don't use that much data
Kinda shocking, I woulda thought it'd use up more than browsing does.
Well, * Browsing videos I mean
nah it mostly just send and receive information about position & actions for the other player
it's really cheap in data
Oh okay, so like a vector number then the game it self works it out?
it's a bit more complicated than just a vector most of the time but yeah
it's more like a matrix of position x, y, z and camera angle
but yeah :)
Well, I guess that makes more sense.
Camera angle?
yup, the direction your player is looking / etc
especially for FPS
Oh yeah. >_< I forgot FPS games were a thing lol
well camera angle / player direction
Though, I guess third person shooters also have that one feature where they show you who killed you through their camera for a few seconds.
plus the different actions, crouching / shooting, etc
oh the killcam require the same informations that it just normally send
position, the looking direction and angle (if you look up or below, etc), and the action you're doing, crouching, walking, running, shooting, etc
that's like few kilo bytes every minutes
How much data does playing online use?
I wanna play MGO with my mcdonalds wifi
Like 2 or 3 mb an hour maybe.
Well, probably a little more, but not too much.
Fuck yes
Time to score some lag kills
@Deleted User You spelled shouldent in rule 6
@Sexy Zombie Roo we are talking about phone data
Not Internet data
I have no cap on that
but you have 5.5GB data on your mobile phone
:)
@Towelie my phone and Internet are not the same company
I have verizone for phone
Xfinity for internet
