i have a usb stick that i use for readyboost
its like 60 gb or some shit
okay
is that even doing anything to speed up my comp
like what is readyboost
does that mean it will use that if i use up all my ram?
or what
whats it even doing
no, it's not a swap (extra ram if you use your ram), it's made to cache your small files and speed up their access if I remember correctly
I don't use that because I have a RAID10 ssd but that's basically the use if I remember correctly
lemme check a bit
i also have a ssd
I don't have one ssd... I have 6...
in RAID10, it's not the same lol
dunno if its raid10 or w/e
oh
nope
lol
i have just the one
RAID10 is RAID 1 + 0
ah ok
RAID0 is some kind of virtual disk made of 2+ disk
well leme know if u fid out wtf readyboost is
or if i even need it
lol
hmmm
yeah will check
ty
well it's basically what I said
it depends of your uses
i just dedicated a 60 gb flash drive to it
32GB is the max size of the cache though, so you may use a smaller pendrive as 60 something is like 2 times the max size 😃
my roomate is in it and brings home tons of usb sticks
so i just used one for it]
oh i dont care lol i have 8 million 2.0 usb's and a decent amount of 3.0's
as I said, it makes faster the access of small files, it's not really life changing especially if you already have an SSD
hrm
so what does it do exacly
just speed up procssing of the hardrive files
it cache small file lol
