Like, you're probably saying, "It just looks like a standard fast food cup." And it probably is, but here's the thing:

RE7 takes place in the south US. Whataburger is located in the south US. Their colors are white and orange. That cup is white and orange. That's a fucking Whataburger cup.

Fun fact: RE7 is Roo's hometown and house as of today

that's why there's a whataburger cup in the trashcan also hence "hits too close to home"
