MGS2 was the highest rated MGS game. Not sure if MGSV beat it.

and DMC3 I really want to say yes to but Vergil's story in the updated edition was very lackluster and basically just a Vergil costume retread with two new cutscenes, which were the only two in the game

Nope. It almost did, though.

Also the style switcher in DMC4 was really needed in DMC3. Had it been included in it (which people have patched into the game on PC), I could probably say it's a 10/10

MGSV is a great game, just not a great Metal Gear Solid game

MGSV is basically empty. What is there is fun, but it's not enough.

My main issues are the open world is so boring

No NPCs that you hear of

Just some outposts and one or two larger "strongholds"
