A Connecticut NBC station won’t air Megyn Kelly’s interview with InfoWars host Alex Jones on Sunday night, according to a new report.

WVIT, the Connecticut station that includes Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown as part of its market, is refusing to air Sunday’s episode of “Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly,” AdAge’s TVNewser reported Friday, citing an internal memo.

“Over the last few days, we have listened intently to Sandy Hook parents, our viewers and importantly, to you. We have considered the deep emotions from the wounds of that day that have yet to heal,” said an internal WVIT memo obtained by TVNewser.

Jeronimo Yanez, the Minnesota police officer who fatally shot Philando Castile during a traffic stop last year, was found not guilty of second-degree manslaughter Friday.

He also was acquitted of two counts of intentional discharge of firearm that endangers safety.

Castile's death garnered widespread attention -- and sparked nationwide protests over the use of force by police -- after his girlfriend broadcast the shooting's aftermath on Facebook Live.

___***USS Fitzgerald: Massive search underway for 7 missing sailors after collision***___
http://www.foxnews.com/world/2017/06/17/uss-fitzgerald-massive-search-underway-for-7-missing-sailors-after-collision.html

- USS Fitzgerald, Arleigh-Burke class destroyer, collided with a merchant ship that is 4x bigger than the destroyer
- According to 7th fleet twitter, the ship is now in Yokosuka for repair
- 7 are still missing (unaccounted for)

The search for seven US sailors lost at sea after a Navy destroyer collided with a container ship four times its size continued off the coast of Japan.

The USS Fitzgerald was back at its home port in Yokosuka Naval Base south of Tokyo by sunset Saturday. The Philippine-flagged container ship was berthed at Tokyo’s Oi wharf, where officials were questioning crew members about the cause of the nighttime crash.

After stabilizing the USS Fitzgerald, the destroyer USS Dewey joined other American and Japanese vessels and aircraft in the search for the missing sailors.

The U.S. 7th Fleet said in a statement that the crash damaged two berthing spaces, a machinery room and the radio room. Most of the more than 200 sailors aboard would have been asleep in their berths at the time of the pre-dawn crash.

Nippon Yusen, the Japanese shipping company that operates the container ship, said in a statement it is collaborating with the ship owner and fully cooperating with the investigation by the coast guard. The 29,060-ton ship is Philippine-flagged and all the crew are Filipinos.

__***Wall St. higher; Dow hits record high***__

(Reuters) - U.S. stocks opened higher on Monday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average hitting a record high, as investors snapped up beaten down technology stocks.
The S&P technology sector (.SPLRCT) is coming off its second straight weekly decline, triggered by fears of stretched valuations and investors moving money to other sectors. Tech stocks have led the S&P 500's rally this year.
Leading the rebound, Apple (AAPL.O), Microsoft (MSFT.O) and Alphabet (GOOGL.O) were all up about 1.2 percent.
Apple provided the biggest boost to the three major sectors. The tech sector's 1.25 percent rise led the gainers on the S&P 500.
Consumer staples stocks, which were battered on Friday after Amazon.com's (AMZN.O) $13.7 billion deal to buy upscale grocer Whole Foods (WFM.N), added to their losses in early trading.
The deal by Amazon, a proven retail disruptor, marked a major step by the internet retailer into the brick-and-mortar retail sector.
Wal-Mart (WMT.N), Target (TGT.N) and Costco (COST.O) reversed premarket gains to trade lower.
At 9:43 a.m. ET (1143 GMT), the Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI) was up 75.35 points, or 0.35 percent, at 21,459.63, the S&P 500 (.SPX) was up 11.35 points, or 0.46 percent, at 2,444.50. The Nasdaq Composite (.IXIC) was up 58.87 points, or 0.96 percent, at 6,210.63.
