OK so I looked it up and the net Co tributipn othe UK to the eu, while it granted has gone up since 1970 its not exactly "going up every year"

It was basically the same untill 2010

And then I'm guessing the reason it went up after that was the economic crisis

That was when the EU turned

And it looks like it's started to go back down again

Although it did very slightly increase from 2017-2018
