Nuclear power =/= Nuclear weapons, it would be really really difficult to weaponize a nuclear reactor

2019-09-16 16:24:09 UTC

Solar would be nice for another time but now we should just stick to nuclear and get rid of coal

2019-09-16 16:24:48 UTC

Im talking like far future solar like Dyson sphere or something like that

2019-09-16 16:24:55 UTC

Not in our lifetimes

2019-09-16 16:25:00 UTC

Not enough Insolation for Solar to compete with Nuclear

2019-09-16 16:25:07 UTC

Nuclear is way more space efficient

2019-09-16 16:25:40 UTC

Solar is good for rooftops and backyards, not a state power grid

2019-09-16 16:26:20 UTC

Solar is more of like a thing you can to yourself, now like solar pannels as you were saying

2019-09-16 16:26:46 UTC

Nuclear is better in every way except one

2019-09-16 16:27:20 UTC

Dumb people think that nuclear powerplants are just as dangerous as a nuclear bomb

2019-09-16 16:29:15 UTC

Yeah no, 3rd and 4th generation reactors are safer than Wind Farms and any kind of fossil fuel refinery or mining operation

2019-09-16 18:19:42 UTC

I mean, solar is pretty great too - particularly when located somewhere that gets lots of sun

2019-09-16 18:20:10 UTC

And wind is pretty great places that are windy...

2019-09-16 18:21:00 UTC

Nuclear is good everywhere and does provide a considerable amount of juice though.

2019-09-16 18:47:58 UTC

Solar doesn't last long. It gets irradiated over a short period of time so its real not a good investment tbh.

2019-09-16 18:48:36 UTC

Its good to have in space but not on earth where it essentially erodes.

2019-09-16 19:45:36 UTC

Not to mention solar as a primary source just requires too much space to use effectively and used solar panels are hella hard to get rid of or recycle. Don't even get me started on wind too. Wind alters air currents and chops up birds, not to mention wind turbines require constant maintenance and are actually more dangerous to work on than a Nuclear power plant for ultimately less power generation. Neither option is eco friendly to their host environment at all. And if you put solar somewhere it rains, you can get heavy metal runoff into ground water and lakes which isn't fun either.

2019-09-16 19:46:15 UTC

And in an era where space efficiency is becoming more and more important Nuclear is just better

2019-09-16 19:48:00 UTC

Solars ok for small scale but that's about it

2019-09-16 20:35:35 UTC

Make the solar pannels orbit the sun

2019-09-16 20:35:54 UTC

When we need it desperately not now

2019-09-16 20:36:10 UTC

I

2019-09-16 20:36:20 UTC

All solar panels already orbit the sun

2019-09-16 20:36:22 UTC

Smart man<:haha:583236087137435659>

2019-09-16 20:36:28 UTC

everything in the solar system already orbits the sun

2019-09-16 20:36:42 UTC

Actually

2019-09-16 20:36:48 UTC

Bruh

2019-09-16 20:36:50 UTC

The Earth is flat

2019-09-16 20:36:56 UTC

Retar<:laugh:583238348077006869>

2019-09-16 20:37:07 UTC

I mean in space away from earth

2019-09-16 20:37:37 UTC

How are we gonna get the power generated back to earth? A super long extension cable?

2019-09-16 20:38:46 UTC

Yep

2019-09-16 20:39:24 UTC

Thorium Nuclear Power also means we can't have those side effects like making Nuclear Weapons

2019-09-16 20:40:03 UTC

I mean you technically *can* weaponize Thorium but its really really really expensive and obvious as all hell

2019-09-16 20:40:38 UTC

More importantly Thorium reactors can be built en masse with molten salt

2019-09-16 20:41:23 UTC

Who's willing to give me an extension cable or two so we can put solar pannels next to the sun

2019-09-16 20:41:48 UTC

I'll probably need about 4 to make it to the sun

2019-09-16 20:45:45 UTC

@Cobra Commander no da erf is triangle

2019-09-16 20:46:33 UTC

5th Dimensional Dodecahedron Tesseract you dumb fools

2019-09-16 20:46:41 UTC

The Earth is a cube

2019-09-16 20:46:47 UTC

Minecraft taught me that
