😛

2019-12-12 08:53:39 UTC

I guess we'll see what happens with Durham's report, or is he a bad guy too?

2019-12-12 08:54:02 UTC

he *does* have that Yosemite Sam Moustache

2019-12-12 08:54:11 UTC

Don't know anything about him

2019-12-12 08:54:39 UTC

I'm sure you'll investigate him and find out he clips his toenails on the couch or something and so his report is null and void

2019-12-12 08:55:21 UTC

Well what is the main problem wtih the IG report?

2019-12-12 08:55:42 UTC

It upholds the legality of the investigations, no systemic political bias, etc

2019-12-12 08:56:01 UTC

what exactly is the problem here

2019-12-12 08:56:33 UTC

We heard for months about how the IG report was going to blow the Democrats out of the water, holy shit Trump is going ot be vindicated, but that certainly didn't happen

> 1. Omitted information the FBI had obtained from another U.S. government agency detailing its prior relationship with Page, including that Page had been approved as an “operational contact” for the other agency from 2008 to 2013, and that Page had provided information to the other agency concerning his prior contacts with certain Russian intelligence officers, one of which overlapped with facts asserted in the FISA application

2019-12-12 08:57:09 UTC

I'm sure that was just an accident

2019-12-12 08:57:20 UTC

I mean, wtf does the FBI know anyway, right?

2019-12-12 08:57:28 UTC

Could be, could also go to Sources and methods, mentioned above

2019-12-12 08:57:40 UTC

that's always the excuse you guys use

2019-12-12 08:57:40 UTC

Dafuq are u going on about m8?????????

2019-12-12 08:57:45 UTC

MUH SOURCES AND METHODS

2019-12-12 08:58:14 UTC

it's a huge deal , and it's a major tension between the various agencies, especially NSA and everybody else

2019-12-12 08:58:27 UTC

I understand that it's a huge deal, very convenient excuse

2019-12-12 08:58:37 UTC

Whatever

2019-12-12 08:58:58 UTC

Time to /ignore reality

2019-12-12 08:59:01 UTC

That’s good

2019-12-12 08:59:39 UTC

That's just what it is man, you can call anything a convenient excuse if you want, but that's what those people have to go through. The expediency of allowances should be flexible enough to handle severe issues. writing laws around is very difficult

2019-12-12 09:00:29 UTC

The LEO often want as much power as possible, to make their jobs easier, the Civil advocates want as little as possible, the pure spooks are ambivilent because they will just do it anyway under national security rubrick, etc

2019-12-12 09:00:34 UTC

oversight takes forever

2019-12-12 09:00:38 UTC

it's a lot

2019-12-12 09:00:45 UTC

I get it, you're an IC apologist, you don't want to give up the power you have

2019-12-12 09:00:53 UTC

or they have

2019-12-12 09:01:14 UTC

IC is not one blob, it depends on which angle you are talking about. Many are both, many are members of EFF like me

2019-12-12 09:01:33 UTC

to simplify, for 'domestic crime', as little as possible

2019-12-12 09:01:37 UTC

wasn't EFF for net neutrality?

2019-12-12 09:02:06 UTC

Mostly, a very sophisticated view of it

2019-12-12 09:02:19 UTC

lol

2019-12-12 09:02:22 UTC

of course

2019-12-12 09:02:30 UTC

everything you agree with is very sophisticated

2019-12-12 09:02:40 UTC

I don't agree with their position on it actually

2019-12-12 09:02:51 UTC

I argue the hardware sovereignity position

2019-12-12 09:02:58 UTC

they argue 'the other side'

2019-12-12 09:02:59 UTC

Ur mom is very sophisticated

2019-12-12 09:03:46 UTC

the EFF testimony is sophisticated because it tries to explain how the routing works on the internet, something they understand very well. many of the 'pop culture' views on it were a bit basic imo

2019-12-12 09:04:17 UTC

Google supporting it is all I need to know that it was evil

2019-12-12 09:05:01 UTC

it's not evil, but they have an incentive to want something similar to class a mail, since a major part of their costs are bandwidth
