not manufacturing
the metaphor in their head is a factory that churns out manufactured 'graduates'
I focus on teaching people to think and to be creative. A gift that comes naturally for young people, but gets numbed as you grow older. I believe that if someone has an idea that they pursue, they will learn more then sitting in a classroom, doing homework, and performing random experiments.
im not a teacher, i have no idea on what methods are best, but the gov should finance whatever the student choice is
something like a GI Bill for All to go along with medicare for all
i dont think everyody has a natural gift fo creativity. some people are more stalwart, bean counters. we have all types of neurologies
very different subject than fiscal policy however
I believe that my plan would pull out government funding, work well for every bright student (rich or poor), and still be profitable.
'profitable' should not be the goal
low quality / high cost can give you profits
still bad for society
I also believe that everyone is bright in their own ways, and everyone is creative in their own way
again, education is not about manfacturing a product that gets a good price, thats, student graduates are not in a spot market that the facility is selling
Profitability isn’t a goal, it’s just a side benefit of my plan.
The whole goal is to boost America through creative educations that encourages ideas and critical thinking
not all education is creative. some is very rote to produce specific kinds of competency
there is room for all of it with GIB4A
The government does not need to fund a good education system that works for everyone.
just as many vets use that GI bill at many different type of institutions
yes it does, that's exactly what the gov needs to do
literally exactly what the gov should be or do
A good education is one where the student’s profitability increases
again, sacrificing everything to 'profitability' is not the goal of education
Even the thinnest sheet of paper has two sides
No, I don’t mean that.
whenever the government gets involved in funding anything the price increases
higher education works, it's just expensive because an attempt to "business-ify" educatio was made
it backfired, and yougn adults begin working life with massive debt
It wasn't expensive 20 years ago... what happened? freely available student loans
basic fix is taking that burden on to gov balance sheet current and going forward
Sorry, I’m kind of getting off topic. My point is that an education done properly benefits the students and funds itself.
it wasn't just gov fundign, it was the gov underwriting of LOANs
it got loan market involved
Same thing with healthcare
yes
they went 'indirect' because conservatives are impossible to talk to about fiscal policy
unless it's pork
education doesn't fund itself. the citizens whom are educated grow up and become productive
the funding part is automatic, we are a monetary sovereign
the taxes later on control inflation
