How much do you BP @Deleted User
120kg is pr
So 245 pounds?
260 that is
Sambo is cool - I was boring and did what is basically Taekwondo + weapons, because it was close to my place when my parents enrolled me at like...10. Got lucky with an amazing instructor, huge black guy who set me straight lol @Puerto Rican Nelson
Stuck with it for a long-ass time since. Only quit because I moved
That’s a lot for bench press
yeah this guy must be fairly jacked
ty
Can almost bench me
hehe
I'm young
its cheat
Idk if I could bench that much when I was younger - I didn't really work on that kind of stuff very much, more cardio and "body" exercises like pushups and pullups and stuff
I played football as lineman
I did do some lifting, but I didn't work towards getting better goals on stuff like benching
and trained for a long time
Also foreveralone at the gym, so I wouldn't have a spotter or anything hah
@Dr.Cosby got my black belt in TKD. Felt a little hollow since the place just tested on forms, so moved on to boxing after a break.
@Puerto Rican Nelson Yeah the forms are a good foundation, especially for beginners - but after I got my black belt, I really just focused on sparring and the demonstration team (we'd do performances and stuff). If nothing else, memorizing so many moves just became tedious for me
I'd like to get into some kind of martial arts again in the future - I think I need to fight at least once a week, punching bag doesn't fully satisfy my soul lol
I love the idea of boxing because my hands are my strongest point, whereas my kicking isn't as good (sad, for taekwondo lol)
Same, could never do those wild spin kicks the third and fourth dans would. My build is better equipped for punching and bullying around the ring.
train wrestling and get into MMA
group fighting is about 20x more enjoyable though
yeah, I need a ground game bad
I was going to say that grappling seems fairly important, and I don't have much of a background in that
It's the most important thing
no ground game = instant loss
unless you break their jaw with ur first shot
Watching a bit of MMA is what made me realize the importance of grappling
Since those guys can hit too, but pretty much always seem to end up on the ground
But watching street fights makes you think it's not as important all of the sudden lol
Because shit lasts less than 10 seconds usually
