Any experience with these? I've heard they are mongo shit but I thought they might be a nice tool to tuck away for emergency usb power. It doesn't specify if it just generates energy, or has a small battery onboard as well.
hmm
could this be enough to charge phone?
Trouble is all the description is in broken English, it said something about 5-10 minutes of call time
Just thought it would be a nice tertiary option for small device power.
I know batteries and power banks are best, then you want some form of generator, but I live in a one bedroom flat with my GF so idk where I'd be sticking a gas generator kek
Well I can get one for 3 quid so I'll let you all know how it goes I guess
Now that i remembered those flashlights that work with similar mechanism i don’t think power generated from here would be anything substantial for a phone
Me either, but it still might have some use.
I'll give it a proper inspection when it arrives.
If you need help with the engine ask me
I know how to diagnose a problem easily
Ill post the whole thing once i'm on my . Pc
i have a solar power bank for the phone
slow to charge in sun ofc but works well
though ive only used it under mostly grey skies
anyone have any experience with wood gas?
I built a really dirty gasifier once. Never bothered to refine it or build a cleaner one.
Only used a generator once and it didnt work
The FEMA gasifier plans leave slot to be desired. They mostly just cover theory of operation and make you figure the rest out.
There are a lot of tutorials on ytb
Pretty interesting
Ill try to build one when ill get a welder
If you need any help selecting a welder, let me know.
Uuuh
Ye
I actually do
Lets fo to tools
Why use a wood gas power generator when you could use an ethanol powered one?
add hand crank lanterns and radios and flashlight and youre good in the hood
Lol. "Request written permission from your regional alcohol authority"
Right.
HA
Anybody ever heard of a gasifier?
I've built one.
Been looking into renewable power for off grid living, the avg household in america goes through 914kWh so monthly youll need about 1251W per month depending on your power consumption, which means roughly 7 190W solarland solar panels will be sustainable for personal living if operating with maximum efficiency
Depends
Also look into geothermal pipes to handle your heating and or cooling
