@Mr. Verboten why does it look like that

2020-03-04 03:30:34 UTC

Idk

2020-03-04 03:30:46 UTC

I saved it on mobile and posted it here

How quickly will I get cancer from 110watts of uvc ?

2020-03-07 19:25:39 UTC

depends on the type and spectrum

2020-03-07 19:26:14 UTC

generally it is not adviced to be under it and you have to limit exposure as maximum as possible

2020-03-07 19:27:08 UTC

before cancer you’ll get burns and damaged retina, cornea, and lens. basically you’ll go blind.

2020-03-07 19:28:12 UTC

you have to use it as germicide in a room you will not be in while it is on

2020-03-07 19:28:37 UTC

but even after it is turned off it is still dangerous because that room is filled with ozone now

2020-03-07 19:28:59 UTC

also it degrades plastics and some substances as i remember

How many horus total will the average 40mm nato filter last when used in a standard nondecominated outdoors area?

2020-03-08 15:54:32 UTC

I hear its 8 hours for decontaminated areas

2020-03-08 15:54:44 UTC

and you should always change after 40 hours or 30 days after opening

2020-03-08 15:54:46 UTC

how true is that?

2020-03-08 16:20:22 UTC

Abek or activated charcoal filters can vary, based on age, quality of material and type of chemical strips. For just particulate filters, they will continue to filter particles safely until it becomes difficult to pull air through, although its harder to breath, the effectiveness will not be compromised, just be careful not to asphyxiate, you might not have the energy to pull the mask off. For charcoal or combination filters check out this: https://youtu.be/2L8KgrVTPH0

Ignore the title

The TDLR is basically that Vitamin C is better for **preventing** cold-like illness, while zinc supplements are better to fight it if you have it already

2020-03-09 02:04:22 UTC

Vitamin C still makes about an 8% difference according to their sources, which is "statistically significant", as they said, but consider stocking zinc as well

2020-03-09 02:05:01 UTC

Also how come no one ever told me that Emergen-C is a meme <:pinkwojak:673420781182779442>

2020-03-09 02:05:19 UTC

It's like 10 times the price for half the medicine you get for a regular bottle of supplements

2020-03-09 02:10:25 UTC

Tldr: vitamin c BTFO'd

2020-03-09 02:17:40 UTC

Also, anyone have a recommendation for iodine supplements and where to get them? Brick-and-mortar stores preferred

2020-03-09 02:17:56 UTC

@UncleDrMrBaby I seem to recall you knew something about them

2020-03-09 02:23:25 UTC

@itstooslim are they not, found in supermarket usually?

2020-03-09 02:23:29 UTC

like near vitamin tablet?

2020-03-09 02:24:08 UTC

I tried there
Couldn't find any at my Walmart, suprisingly

2020-03-09 02:34:29 UTC

@itstooslim are they not just out, I found some at Publix though not in the quantity I would like

2020-03-09 02:34:53 UTC

Try substituting your salt with iodine salt, healthier for you, and with enough of it can actually repel some radiation

2020-03-09 02:35:12 UTC

Look for the one with the girl with the yellow coat

2020-03-09 02:35:18 UTC

Publix generic works too

2020-03-09 02:39:12 UTC

You know I hadn't considered that
I got iodized at first but then switched to plain because of the shelf life difference
but I suppose there's nothing stopping me from using iodized in my normal rotation while also putting away plain salt for long term

2020-03-09 02:39:50 UTC

Iodized salt with shelf life?

2020-03-09 02:40:14 UTC

The additive reduces it to about 5 years iirc

2020-03-09 02:40:30 UTC

>5 year shelf life
