Hell, I've sipped wine with Muslim friends 🥂

2020-03-15 04:31:34 UTC

so qwasi, you would prefer a shortage of physicians over physicians with a different set of beliefs?

2020-03-15 04:31:37 UTC

this is why anecdotal evidence is useless though

2020-03-15 04:31:51 UTC

your experience with a handful of people is meaningless

2020-03-15 04:31:55 UTC

i posted a study showing that integration is happening

2020-03-15 04:32:01 UTC

and they do get assimilated

2020-03-15 04:32:03 UTC

lol

2020-03-15 04:32:07 UTC

You're the one using inflammatory language like "barbarian"

2020-03-15 04:32:12 UTC

ok how was the study performed

2020-03-15 04:32:22 UTC

here you go

2020-03-15 04:32:24 UTC

once again

2020-03-15 04:32:26 UTC

did they ask "hey, you cool with not chopping hands off anymore bruh?"

2020-03-15 04:32:40 UTC

and the Muslim answers, "Sure, bruh, no more chopping"

2020-03-15 04:33:48 UTC

also, I'm not saying the study isn't accurate, but I trust Harvard on this particular topic about as much as I trust Yuri's anecdotal evidence

2020-03-15 04:34:18 UTC

that is to say, not a whole lot

2020-03-15 04:34:38 UTC

To be a Muslim, you technically must do/believe only five things. None of them relate to Sharia. Muslims can integrate and still be Muslims. And many do.

2020-03-15 04:35:23 UTC

Just as Christians and even Jews can take an historical view on certain elemets of Leviticus

2020-03-15 04:37:01 UTC

So again, in my experience, the concern is fanaticism not any particular religion per se. And yes, I believe we should be selective in who we permit into the country and one of the "rule out criteria" should be to keep out zealots of all flavors. But that's just moderate little scientific me.

2020-03-15 04:38:06 UTC

that study took their evidence from a multitude of different sources though. here's one: http://www.worldvaluessurvey.org/WVSDocumentationWV4.jsp this shows that societies with different majority religions do have distincitve and different values, but within the same society, the difference between the different religions are proven to be relatively much smaller.

2020-03-15 04:38:42 UTC

i provided that source as you can read through the sampling and methodology yourself if you don't believe it.

2020-03-15 04:45:57 UTC

I guess all you're really saying is that some Muslims can be good people

2020-03-15 04:46:01 UTC

sure, ok

2020-03-15 04:46:11 UTC

just like some Nazis were probably good people

2020-03-15 04:51:25 UTC

oh look, a progressive "moderate" Muslim advocating for Sharia law

2020-03-15 04:51:45 UTC

and again

2020-03-15 04:52:06 UTC

and again

2020-03-15 04:52:49 UTC

again, same user, one individual, and also this is twitter. if that's your source for valid info pls go back to the 3rd grade

2020-03-15 04:53:00 UTC

you don't know how to argue

2020-03-15 04:53:21 UTC

says the one who's reasoning is comparable to that of a 3 year old

2020-03-15 04:53:38 UTC

She's a very high profile American Muslim, most consider progressive and "woke"

2020-03-15 04:53:52 UTC

and she's advocating for Sharia

2020-03-15 04:54:13 UTC

if Yuri can bring up her anecdotal evidence why is this inadmissible?

2020-03-15 04:54:37 UTC

She gave facts and sources along with anecdotal evidence

2020-03-15 04:54:52 UTC

You're presenting us with the twitter of one high profile american muslim
