This is the gender-issues channel - it appears you having some kind of a gender-related crisis. How can I help you?

Yes
For all the geniuses up there who tried (and failed) to debate me on gender vs sex and male vs female based on what reproductive organs you're born with
@Dr.Cosby A mule and a genetic defect.
Riiiight, so what is this person's sex? What's their gender?
I had multiple people trying to say that gender and sex are the same thing
Also multiple people saying that it all comes down to what genitals you're born with
What about if there was a genetic defect that made you born with both sets of genitals? And then you get to decide which one to keep (or keep both - or get rid of both)?
I'll help you: SEX is decided by your chromosomes
@Dr.Cosby Yes but they be a defect
GENDER is decided by your personal identity as it relates to the gradient between masculinity and femininity
I apologize for being redundant and posting those links over and over. But I don't know who is joining the conversation at what point. It's also good to have the actual definitions and scientific reference material handy
I've also gone down the "defect" line of reasoning as well. Gender dysphoria is also a "defect".
So why don't we treat ALL "defective" people fairly and kindly?
If someone you loved struggled with gender dysphoria, you'd be so callous to them? I wager not. How can the issue be so polarizing for people that even in the face of science and the medical community, they are willing to hold on to some of these "beliefs"? It doesn't make sense to me
@Dr.Cosby Lol sex also influences your gender, hence why there are things associated with men and woman (and that genetic defection has the appearance of a female).
Yes, sex influences your gender. As do a bunch of other factors (many out of your control)
The genetic defection has the appearance of a female - and she also identifies as a female
Usually, people identify with the gender that corresponds to their "natural" appearance (which includes sex)
When they don't, it's gender dysphoria
Btw there are women that look A LOT like men at first glance. They should be considered males, then? Come on...the real-world cases are far and wide
You can call them mules if you want (btw mules are sterile, and some of these people can breed). But it doesn't change the sex vs gender distinction
@Dr.Cosby Ye I don't deny Trans people but i feel digusted that you are using mutants to prove to me biologically that there are more two genders. Which for the record is denying how one's biological sex affects people. You can be raised as a woman as a man, yet still come out of it a man, because, its not at all a social thing whatsoever.
I'm using mutants to show biological corner cases that need to be accounted for. These people have PHYSICAL mutations. Is it so hard to consider people with MENTAL mutations as well?
I know it's hard to wrap your mind around mental illness
Quite literally, if NOTHING ELSE, the medical community seems to think that having the distinction between gender and sex HELPS people with these problems
How is that alone not worth it?
There's nothing physically different between a female brain and a male brain (as far as I know)
Imagine if you woke up in the body of the opposite sex.
Would you just "accept" this and move on with your life?
