McConnell knows what he is doing, but i agree with the latter point

As a strategist, he is very good

what norms is he breaking

He is just supported by advisors and masked by trump

The situation with judges has stretched back 3 admins so far

Well he’s refusing to vote on bills in the senate the house dems passed

There is a lot there, it would be a whole other convo

He is bifurcating the courts, which is something frowned on

He’s packed the federal courts and supreme court with Republican sympathetic judges

It's the last hurrah for the Evangelicals, because they will be a minor force after 2030 or so

We put presidential term limits in order to give less power to presidents appointing to many jurors but look what is happinig right now

But he’s been objectivly extremely more partisan than any previous Senate majority leader

It's not in law but it was generally accepted to not put contraversial judges in place

including several that were giving a no-go by that quasi-gov review board

Because McConnel refused to appoint any judges for the end of Obamas second term because he’s that partisan, then with all the empty seats he’s packed the courts with Republicans

Plenty of Republican judges are fine, he went for hacks

The manner in which he is packing the courts is abnormal

It also revealed how that faction doesnt care about anything but power, they will never put the coutnry first, and they are findign it harder and harder to hide behind the flag

You had people like McCain, etc, who definitely were not on this level

I wasn' ta McCain fan, but I don't doubt his patriotism, to a point

but if he believes leftist judges are activist judges that won't uphold the Constitution, then he has a duty to do what he's doing
