Firstly, there are only 2 sexes. Intersex people are a combination of the two. Secondly sex is based on chromosomes. About 5 sexes wtf.
Thirdly asexual animals are those that can reproduce by themselves as in they have both female and male parts. Asexual humans are different; these are just people that aren't sexually active or attracted to anyone. Theres a difference between the two how are people this stupid.

Referring to everyone by the gender would be tedious considering there are so many lol. So we should just refer to everyone by their sexes.

Gender is fake news btw. We've always referred to people by their sex. A couple of SJWs made the claim that this isn't that case for some reason and then came the term" gender"

It isn't downplaying anything. I used the term "basically" for a reason. To make it clear I was going to give it a juvenile definition. Of course it's more complicated than that.

I don't need a source for this. Progressives claim when we call someone a man or woman we are referring to them as such based on what society considers a man or a woman. I say this is fake news. When some one was called as such it was because of their sex. Obviously now it's different.

Why would it make less sense to address someone by their sex instead of gender when gender is arbitrary

Why would they have severe discomfort with their gender?

The only understandable reason is because it they dont fit the attributes for that gender that society has decided
