The act of wanting to violate a child is disgusting, but it's a huge difference from actually doing it. It's definitely a huge no-no, but if we want to understand the issue and stop it, then we have to learn and figure out ethical ways to solve this issue.

The issue with that is that there are cases in which a family member may be responsible for molesting the child and the punishment is so severe that the family may not want to out their member for fear of the repercussions.

So a stupidly severe punishment isn't going to help make matters better
