No I get that part but many others have already answered those questions so I would rather just direct people to those sources

2019-12-16 13:25:35 UTC

Rather than repeat myself over and over again

2019-12-16 13:26:08 UTC

what sources would you point qwasi too, for example, since he repeated over and over what is basically a historical argument, pointing out the relative conditions of socialist countries

2019-12-16 13:26:26 UTC

Or what somebody might suggest comparing West versus East Germany?

2019-12-16 13:27:08 UTC

Grover is a good example so is Kotkin

2019-12-16 13:27:31 UTC

I'd mostly stick to documents really

2019-12-16 13:28:05 UTC

The Finnish BOlshevik dude on youtube does a pretty good job with that format, but in general I find mose of the attempts along those lines fall apart when they leave the realm of historical analysis

2019-12-16 13:28:49 UTC

I know Finnish Bolshevik but I don't watch too many of his videos

2019-12-16 13:29:17 UTC

He seemed well read when I talked to him

2019-12-16 13:30:08 UTC

But again I don't wanna argue for historical events that have no meaning when it comes to philosophy

2019-12-19 18:32:09 UTC

2019-12-19 18:32:18 UTC

that socialism

2019-12-19 18:32:20 UTC

works

2019-12-19 18:32:23 UTC

in a country

2019-12-19 18:32:39 UTC

it can work, it just won't produce as much wealth, which is capitalism's main advantage, due to creative destruction

2019-12-19 18:32:49 UTC

yep

2019-12-19 18:32:56 UTC

likewise capitalism can work, but will produce inequalities that drop the bottom out

2019-12-19 18:32:57 UTC

see Libya had this leader called Mamour Al Gaddafi and he had socialist beliefs, and im gonna summarize it real quick

2019-12-19 18:33:02 UTC

ok

2019-12-19 18:33:07 UTC

2019-12-19 18:33:12 UTC

2019-12-19 18:33:15 UTC

lol

2019-12-19 18:33:15 UTC

both have their place, and it's mostly a matter of phase and scale where you use each approach

2019-12-19 18:33:22 UTC

you can once you 'level up' a bit

2019-12-19 18:33:42 UTC

2019-12-19 18:33:50 UTC

k

2019-12-19 18:33:56 UTC

many 'capitalists' are in denail that inequality has real macroeconomic effects, which you can model

2019-12-19 18:34:11 UTC

marx saw it, minsky, Fisher, keynes

2019-12-19 18:34:46 UTC

what political ideology do you support

2019-12-19 18:34:57 UTC

I am capitalist

2019-12-19 18:35:03 UTC

I would say I'm a libertarian nationalist

2019-12-19 18:35:19 UTC

i'm very right-wing, but I understand and respect what Socialists talk about

2019-12-19 18:35:29 UTC

im not that much with nationalism but i didnt research about it so i cant critisize it
