When my grandma's car gate broke I thought it's simple I'll just weld on a piece

Four hours later I was about to quit
Ended up welding a piece of steel on top of the work area cause I was sure I had messed up the heat treatment
Looked like trash but grandma was mighty proud

I used to have a neighbor that did it but everytime I'd try to go over I'd be told not to so that's a huge missed opportunity

I did some drywall and painting

I was also a chimney sweep. Theres alot more to that trade than people realize. And that skill comes with masonry, also very useful

MIG is about as easy as it gets. TIG is nice too if you can get both hands coordinated. Stick, well...just learn to enjoy being burned to shit by sparks haha
