I have heard some pretty rough stories about ayahuasca

people that actually go to the amazon, with the shamans and all that, in a good state of mind and end up having a complete nightmare journey to hell that gives them post traumatic stress for years following

personally with traditional psychadelics I have never had a bad trip

but they can and do happen, I have experienced some of the most absolutely awful experiences on high doses of THC with little food in the stomach

when you're so unbelievably high that the internal monologue turns to gibberish and you start seeing visual hallucinations but not the cool or interesting kind

to summarize, be wary of psychadelic drugs and measure your doses correctly. NEVER go overboard right out of the gate. and personally I would advise against Ayahuasca, it kind of fucks you up physically and you don't know what it's going to do mentally. Be careful.
