Yes?

2018-08-06 22:18:29 UTC

isn't censorship fine with private companies

2018-08-06 22:19:44 UTC

@JustARandomSpy But I mean Donald Trump is pro big govt so I can see him wanting to interfere with that

2018-08-06 22:24:23 UTC

In my opinion, it doesn't matter if the decison came from the government or from a private company. Infowars was clearly blocked because of expressing their political views, not from releasing "fake news" as some people argue.

2018-08-06 22:24:55 UTC

It's still censorship.

2018-08-06 22:25:00 UTC

So you don't think a private company should be allowed to do that?

2018-08-06 22:25:35 UTC

In this specific case, no.

2018-08-06 22:26:03 UTC

This is why I wouldn't consider myself a conservative. I am pro small government, want to reduce spending, increase personal freedom, and not have more gun control.

2018-08-06 22:26:53 UTC

I really don't get why he was against bump stocks and is against 3d printed guns

2018-08-06 22:27:10 UTC

He really only supports the constitution when it helps him.

2018-08-06 22:29:02 UTC

I've saw the "3D-printed-gun" thing recently, but still I haven't read much about it yet...

2018-08-06 22:29:37 UTC

He appears to be against people having access to the plans

2018-08-06 22:32:29 UTC

To be honest, this is not the kind of news that arrive here with much notoriety. To this present moment, I've seen no Brazilian conservatives expressing a based opinion about the plans release...

2018-08-06 22:32:41 UTC

(Yes. I'm Brazilian.)

2018-08-06 22:32:46 UTC

ah ok

2018-08-06 22:33:34 UTC

Basically there was a court case over the plans being released

2018-08-06 22:33:39 UTC

He seemed to be against it

2018-08-06 22:33:58 UTC

Hm...interesting, I must say.

2018-08-06 22:34:08 UTC

Yes

2018-08-06 22:34:15 UTC

I really don't see why he would be against it

2018-08-06 22:37:42 UTC

He might have thought the plans release would give the knowledge needed to criminals to produce their own weaponry...something like that, I guess?

2018-08-06 22:38:07 UTC

But yeah, this a pretty superficial analysis...

2018-08-06 22:39:34 UTC

I'm not sure how something like this would work, as gun laws are way different here.

2018-08-06 22:40:37 UTC

It has already been noticed here in Rio de Janeiro that some drug dealers gangs are starting to produce their own rifles.

2018-08-06 22:41:29 UTC

The difference is: the majority of our people does not have the right to defend the lives of their beloved ones. Guns are way too restricted here.

2018-08-06 22:42:38 UTC

About the Infowars thing, I still see it as a case of censorship. Besides, it's not only happening in the US, but in here as well...

2018-08-06 22:43:14 UTC

Brazilian Facebook managed to somehow block more than 30 right-wing pages recently...

2018-08-07 00:36:37 UTC

@JustARandomSpy I still think its up to the company to ban what they want. Also the plans providing knowledge on building a gun is irrelevant since that information is already easily accessible, but also not very hard to figure out.

2018-08-07 00:40:52 UTC

@Dylan True.

2018-08-07 00:41:23 UTC

Most people don't realize how simple it is to produce a fully automatic gun

2018-08-07 00:41:35 UTC

Banning the blueprints is censorship anyways
