So better care for the people you are friends with

2020-01-26 05:40:31 UTC

I again disagree, personal liberty

2020-01-26 05:40:46 UTC

No one has the personal liberty to commit a crime

2020-01-26 05:40:52 UTC

If we allow alcohol and tobacco to be legal, then we must acknowledge other compounds people have been using for thousands of years

2020-01-26 05:41:20 UTC

my limit is no abolishment of drugs but rather offer big funds for reform programs like drug abuse victims

2020-01-26 05:41:23 UTC

> No one has the personal liberty to commit a crime

***If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so.***

2020-01-26 05:41:38 UTC

@DangerErin I can support that

2020-01-26 05:41:43 UTC

That's beautiful and everything, but laws exist for a reason

2020-01-26 05:42:00 UTC

Otherwise, whether a law is unjust or not is just the opinion of that person

2020-01-26 05:42:32 UTC

What makes you believe you're right about drug laws being unjust but a pedophile that think laws against CP ain't?

2020-01-26 05:42:38 UTC

Depends on the laws tbh, many have roots in issues, others are based purely in emotion not in logic

The drug war has not been a success, its been a colossal waste of funds, when it should be targeting those who truly violate federal law and harm people, and putting in systems to support users and making it safe for people

instead it punishes everyone and costs everyone

2020-01-26 05:43:08 UTC

Again, it doesn't work because there's always people like you and your friend fueling it

2020-01-26 05:43:28 UTC

The legalization of marijuana has shown that lax laws and decriminalization allow funding of proper support systems

2020-01-26 05:43:30 UTC

Libertarians love to claim the drug war doesn't work, while pumping those criminals with money

2020-01-26 05:44:17 UTC

Even if you support legalization, the very least you could do is to not fuel crime by buying illegal drugs

2020-01-26 05:44:35 UTC

If you think we should ban something like pot, then you must claim we ban something like alcohol or tobacco

We have decades of evidence showing the detrimental effects of both of them, and the decades of research into marijuana show far less side effects

2020-01-26 05:44:45 UTC

I do lmao

2020-01-26 05:44:54 UTC

Then thats fine

2020-01-26 05:44:58 UTC

I can understand why

2020-01-26 05:45:02 UTC

I just dont agree

2020-01-26 05:45:33 UTC

Laws like any political systems has backdoors

abolish cocaine? guess what Big Tobacco groups are currently growing Opioid field in Afghanistan and selling it back here in the US to black markets that poverties like abusing in minority groups

2020-01-26 05:45:54 UTC

I also get it being against that, but I can't help but point the hypocrisy of claiming the drug war doesn't work while financing the people the government are trying to fight

2020-01-26 05:46:35 UTC

Crimes are committed with money from weed sales, like it or not

2020-01-26 05:47:44 UTC

friend of mine started growing shrooms off a cow pasture and using occasionally to treat his depression

Friend of his found out and a couple others, he got into selling and thats that

From personal experience, from the research Ive seen, said compound can be helpful to people and Ive seen people benefit from it

I do not agree with the government outright banning a potential medication and restricting research

I wont delve into my history much here anymore, but I will say when I was working in a lab getting our hands on something basic like THC was a pain in the ass and required DEA and FDA authorization

2020-01-26 05:48:04 UTC

I just want to see a more open government to these sorts of things

2020-01-26 05:48:09 UTC

a means to properly research them

2020-01-26 05:48:22 UTC

Make safer drugs, safer treatments for people, stop targeting users

2020-01-26 05:49:11 UTC

That's an alrighty point of view and everything, but the moment you choose to buy illegal drugs you completely ignore the consequences of what happens next

2020-01-26 05:49:49 UTC

True, not gonna deny it

2020-01-26 05:50:01 UTC

But I fall on the side of Jefferson

2020-01-26 05:50:09 UTC

I see such laws currently as unconstitutional

2020-01-26 05:50:37 UTC

The legality of the law doesn't change the outcome of your behavior

2020-01-26 05:50:55 UTC

And in regards to marijuana, my state voted legalization so my holding pot and using doesnt change anything

Feds cant touch me on that

2020-01-26 05:50:57 UTC

Just like buying legal drugs from illegal sources

2020-01-26 05:51:19 UTC

As long as you're buying legal from legal sources, I'm cool with it

2020-01-26 05:51:33 UTC

People have the right to do dumb, legal shit

2020-01-26 05:51:42 UTC

if I had a nickel for every person ive known over the last 30 years dipping into pharmaceutical illegal trade I'd have a solid investment into my 401k

2020-01-26 05:52:28 UTC

What they don't have the right to do though, is thinking their moral superiority regarding legalization allows them to disregard the consequences of buying illegal drugs

2020-01-26 05:52:31 UTC

the current system doesnt work, the evidence doesnt support it, I just want to see it revised and more in line with proper lines of research, proper lines of law enforcement

2020-01-26 05:52:55 UTC

Pretty sure evidence doesn't support your case either

2020-01-26 05:53:08 UTC

As I said, do some research about the state of things in Netherlands
