@Sarstan I wouldn't paint a ceiling anything darker than light grey, dark ceilings make the room appear much smaller, ceiling lower, and with a sloped ceiling that's exactly what you don't want...well, unless you enjoy claustrophobia.

The picture has a blue hue to it (the lamp cover on the end table is a light brown). I promise the walls and ceiling are a forest green.
I'd hate to do grey. I stuck with grey colors in the past and hate doing it now.

To be fair it's a big room (about 15 x 11). But I agree about a lighter color keeps it feeling bigger. I know I don't want the whole thing one color like they did. The ceiling definitely has to be different. And tempted to have a third color for the slanted sections.
