Whoah that long?
Damn
thank you
this cracked me up
“Increasingly, we’re getting called in to censor a lot of different kinds of content that makes me really uncomfortable,” Zuckerberg said. “It kind of feels like the list of things that you’re not allowed to say socially keeps on growing.”
“And I’m not really OK with that,” he said.
Damn zuck
Im meeting more and more leftists
Who are claiming that, not only are the nazis conservatives, but so are communists
And socialism is totally not communism bro
@Deleted User if you're the actual Alex Jones then I feel it is also important to remind folks that Reddit is the 6th largest website in the US according to Alexa rankings (https://www.alexa.com/topsites/countries/US) and 18th globally (https://www.alexa.com/topsites). Alexa's stats are cited regularly thoughout the industry. Currently, 58% of Reddit users are 18-29 (https://www.statista.com/statistics/517218/reddit-user-distribution-usa-age/). /r/the_donald is also blocked from search engines due to the quarantine, and Reddit is higly prioritized in Google's results. Reddit is completely brainwashing the younger generation by not even allowing them to see information from the other side. The 6th largest site in the US, putting it just above Wikipedia. This is a massive censorship problem and it needs more widespread attention. It's not about the community, it's about free speech.
im not actually, its a semiserious larp
I have a hypothetical on free speech I’d like to talk about
damn
Well, maybe he's here somewhere
lol
case closed 😉
I don’t like censorship in any form. From liberals or conservatives
pleasure doin business with ya
If someone joins the_donald on reddit and they start shit talking trump and conservatives and they get banned. Isn’t that censorship?
You can’t speak out against censorship when you censor
Its a private server
Well sure but that’s kind of a lame argument. Facebook is a private company, it’s still not okay for them to censor conservatives
@redgentleman443 that is where the Publisher vs Platform debate comes in (google it)
communities can create rules for their communities, and if people don't like the restrictions, they can create their own community. for reddit to blanket censor an entire side of the political spectrum, they are controlling the flow of information and acting as a publisher of content.
Another hypothetical
say you’re at a MAGA rally. Protester is there and starts shouting and interrupts the speech. Trump says get em out of here and they get removed. Is that censorship or is that person just being disruptive
disruptive since trump paid for the event
Okay fair enough but what if someone is just standing there with an anti trump shirt or sign but not saying anything. Does the same standard apply?
I'm not sure I understand
I can't get my damn M&Ms open
I was saying like if a protester was there but they didn’t say anything to interrupt the speech but was wearing an anti trump shirt or holding an anti trump sign. Is that disruptive
no I don't think so
as long as you're just standing there and not bothering people, so what
use scissors @beer
👍
