Lab grown meat would be sweet. I'm the biggest fucking hyocrite. I hate killing animals but I'll eat a fat fucking ribeye
If vegans care so much about animal lives, then what about the ants they step on?
#AllLivesMatter
In my eyes, it is impossible to be truly vegan, we use animals in basically everything. Examples of everyday products that use animals:
Beer, Perfume, Plastic Bags, Downy, Sugar, Condoms, Nail Polish, Crayons, Cake mix, red candy, bagels, cigarettes, hell even orange juice
Small scale farming is not too bad for the environment, large scale farming with the feed being hyperfattening is what is bad for the environment. Also, by the environment, I primarily care about water use; Far more water efficient making meat
Tires, glue, fireworks, biofuel, fabric softener, shampoo and conditioner, and toothpaste also use animals. So either way we still need farms and animals, and ending animal farming is impossible because we need them for our everday lives. What are you gonna do? Stop showering and brushing your teeth?
Then, vegans should end animal slavery, bc its the *right thing to do*
We already need to kill animals to make all these things anyways, so eating them is actually efficient. You're making use of the entire animal by eating it, rather than tossing the meat and only using things like hide to make that other stuff
Moonlight that is the idea of it
Remove meat then you lose acre of environmental friendly land per 2 cow. And replace that with plant growing shit that is covered with shit to kill bugs, small animal and tbh not that good for the environment
You wouldn't believe the lengths vegans go to make sure their lifestyle is completely vegan
How the hell does beer require animals?
Beer has animal products
....Such as?
"Guinness contains Isinglass, a chemical found in fish bladders"
Everything has animal products tbh. Waste not want not
"Isinglass gathers stray yeast cells during the fermenting process and solidifies them into a mass which settles on the bottom of the barrel for removal."
The new British bank notes has animal fat in them
Same as the EU notes
Huh. Guess I’ll have to look at isinglass
Meat is just more efficient than full vegan. The crops they eat are for the most part inedible to humans anyways, and the water they drink isn't good for human consumption either, pretty sure it's called green water. So the vegan argument that they take lots of crops and water is just incorrect for the most part. Plus we use them for a lot of stuff anyways, imagine how much more wasteful it would be to stop eating meat but continue to use them for that other stuff, rather than making use of the full animal by consuming it *and* using the hide, fat, etc for those other things
Well, the problem of veganism is not humane treatment of animals but more rather the idea that animals are people too
high quality meat protein is what allowed our brains to evolve, to get better at hunting quality meat, like mammoths
I don’t disagree that if we are already killing the animal we should fully utilize it, I just believe we should find substitutes for such byproducts
Furthermore, a lot of the supplements/pills vegans need to survive also use animal products. Vaccines have animal products as well, so go to go vegan you'd have to stop going to the doctor, stop showering, stop driving your car, give up beer, perfume+nail polish(if you're a woman) etc
https://www.veganfoodandliving.com/vegan-diet/medicine-where-should-vegans-draw-the-line/
You can't really make subsitutes for these, modern medicine depends on animals
Hitler was vegetarian. <:trumpwitchlul:624684793422020624>
I did say I was moving towards it, but thank you for the sources.
No problem @🛫navytuna🛬 ζ🌹🌻
Anyways that's the problem I see with veganism. You're still using things that require animals(medicines, tires, etc) but you're *not* making use of the full animal by refusing to eat it. Think of it this way, veganism is like killing an animal, but only using the skin and fat and leaving the meat to rot because it's "inhumane" and an omniviorous lifestyle is killing and using the whole animal, including the meat, if that makes sense
But human body evolved by eating everything. If you change what you eat like that it will be bad for your body. Human body needs long time to evolve away from meat. And tbh most of the human race will not stop eating meat cos it tastes nice and don't grow boobs from it
So if everyone were to go vegan, until we find alternatives to these byproducts, if that's even possible, we'd be wasting and abusing animals more than they are now. It's more humane to make use of the whole animal by consuming it, because skin, fat, etc are all still essential ingredients in things we use in our everyday lives, we'd just be turning down the meat. That's the biggest reason why I've decided not to go vegan
Yeah. If that is all the case then I’d just try to minimize the amount of livestock required. I definitely don’t oppose using all of an animal if it shall be slain anyways.
dude, if the estrogen in plant burgers was large enough to help people transition then why wouldn’t trans people start wolfing them down
My girlfriend is a vegetarian for about 20 years, she started cos she didn't like the killing of animals. She wants to eat meat but cant. She has alot of bad health problems <:trumplaugh:666855109644386314>
I have no problem eating animals, there is no moral dilemma for me. The only moral dilemma I have is overhunting wild populations (LOOKING AT YOU CHINESE FISHERMAN)
at least she still gets some form of animal protein in the form of milk, eggs, and cheese
Ya. But still not enough
that's why if you truly do not want to eat meat, vegetarianism is totally better than veganism, but generally it's healthier to live an omnivorous lifestyle
20 or so years adds up
the best diet imo is pescatarian

i started raising chickens 2 years ago because I got tired of buying snail bait, I no longer have to buy snail bait and I get eggs for 3 years, next year I get chicken.
I could not raise animals that I have to kill and eat
