I want to touch donald trumps man titties
he had a voluptuous set of jugs
So my ultimate point is, political corruption bad. Trust busting was needed, the political bosses of the 20th century deserved punishment.
i'm curious to eventually read some of the criticisms news outlets back in the day printed on our greatest presidents
see how it lines up with todays headlines
I know Lincoln was so hated there were near riots when he campaigned
we love our cops, our law enforcement
There are retards, some in this server, who believe Lincoln was a tyrant. My question for those: How great would America be if our union dissolved?
lolbertarians are kinda right about the police honestly though
I mean we already have numerous neoliberal police states, we might as well repurpose them to fit a more nationalistic goal.
America isn't necessarily open about it, but we have the developed infrastructure to spy on millions of people.
Instead of spying on criminals, corporate leaders and degenerate celebrities, we spy on the average Joe.
Wrong question. How great would the US be if decentralization was more of a thing? How great would it be if states could go their own way to an even greater extent?
Also Lincoln on central banking and paper money, poor record there
but then, nothing is a purely black and white issue...
If Lincoln allowed more decentralization under the context of a succeeding south, the only next possible step would the dissolution of the union.
FWIW, I'm more of a fan of the original articles of confederation circa 1781
but it is all water under the bridge at this point
Which would've given the states nearly complete control, pulling apart our country in a pluralistic mess of 13 differing interests.
if you don't like the state gov, then easier to vote with your feet
A non-existent federal govt.? Ah yes, I suppose the states would voluntary stay in an arbitrary union.
I don't listen to libertarian news, and I'm sure that if I did, I wouldn't be converted. I'm already too opinionated.

There's good and bad
What I will say about libertarians is that I respect their independence. They don't care about political normalcy, and they don't sacrifice on their beliefs.
I don't like the excessive idealism in the face of realpolitik, sometimes they make the perfect the enemy of the good
I'd like to see how some of these ivory tower academics would perform if they were in the game. It is like a sports commentator saying 'what he would do', but he's not in the game and will never play pro
yup^
Politics is what it is, we have to deal with it either incrementally or however we can
human action is a dope book
Most regimes and governments who've used realpolitik were statist tbh.
Regardless, idealism is all libertarians have. That's not a bad thing, but libertarians aren't really pragmatists.
They'll never sacrifice libertarianism even in the face of their worst enemies. Foreign invasion? We can't direct industries to produce war material!
What happened to the reddit sub? Is it dead? I see no new posts.
Yes, it got restricted by T_D mods. They wanted to use The_Donald to promote thedonald.win
They basically forced T_D to migrate at a quicker rate. Plus, now T_D on Reddit can't be banned, and anyone who sees the subreddit is more likely to go on thedonald.win
hope it works out
I just say that there's no acknowledgement of realpolitik from the libertarian academics, so there's no actual action towards the stated goals
