We don't have a lot of openly homeless people where I live, but when I do spot them I do give monies if I have any to spare..or offer to buy\give some food, etc.. I just want them to be fed or to be able to take care of themselves however they see fit to use whatever I decide to give them which usually isn't much because I'm also pretty fucking broke, but I tend to treat everyone pretty equally with dignity and respect no matter their situation..people become homeless for various reasons, and we've sat and talked with them which they usually enjoy because with the isolation and stigma it gets pretty lonely..so they usually talk our heads off Lol and all the one's I've met and talked to have been fairly decent human beings..they've just had a fucked life, or maybe made some bad choices, or have been in jail\prison and most people will not hire a convict of any kind, so I just try to help absolutely anyone if I have the means. I try not to pass my judgments if I see someone busking out in the open. It's not my place to judge them it's just my choice to extend some compassion.. From that picture though it looked like the Atheists and Christians gave the most..could just be because of their convenient positions, but I think it's still pretty interesting and comical. ^.^
Yeah good observation, the christians and atheists tend to be the most competitive nowadays, but like I say, Jews have it right. Food and water is one thing, I also tend to help in regard to that, but for the most part, I offer them something to do to earn the money, like wash my car, and then you get some money and a free meal, i too spend time talking to them, because it is a good way to learn from others mistakes and shitty choices that got them to where they are, and then advise they could have made better choices by providing my opinion on how i would have dealt with their situations and circumstances, so that if they find themselves there ever again, they have a different path to choose from. But making them dependent is doing them more harm than good. money is not something should be given away, give jobs that earn money, get them to wash your car, or guard your car, get them to push the shopping cart, and to pack your grocieries in the car, the idea is that they learn to recognize that nothing is free, everything is earned, it also makes them feel useful and that they arent just there to be pitied and make you feel better for shedding a tear, being able to provide a service, no matter how simple will warrant you to show them appreciation and yield a monetary reward as well as a reward in confidence. If you have money to give away, or food, then find something no matter how trivial to have them earn it, even if you ask them to pick up the litter around a bin that people have been too careless to use, just let them be useful in some way and you will do them so much good.
I've known some people that have picked some homeless people up so they can earn a days wage laboring on a construction site, or mow someone's yard, etc. I've just never entertained it myself because I find it difficult to ask things of people in general..I'm very awkward and socially backwards that way.. 😂 Hooray for social ineptitude. 😂
Dont be though, be confident, you have no reason not to be, especially when you are better of than another person, your confidence can rub off on them. When you ask them things with confidence, it comes accross as very positive as well.. if you ask in an awkward way, it comes accross like doubt. You really just need to approach them as you would want them to approach you, pretend you are approaching yourself, practice with yourself, in a mirror if you have to, it's not really that weird to talk to yourself out loud and getting comfortable staring into your reflections eyes while having a conversation with yourself, after a while you get used to it, and it really helps with socializing. It use to be the best advice you got preparing for an oral in the class room, and the reason why you had so many orals in class, to get used to doing things like that. but anyways
That does make some sense..practicing socials in the mirror.. I'm sure all the decent orators of history have done something similar in preparation for speaking. I actually might try something like that because my social anxiety can get pretty bad sometimes and it prevents me from even speaking at all because I get all self-conscious and become more concerned with how the other person views me and then all confidence goes out the window or I try to deflect with a bit of humor so that the attention can be diverted elsewhere. 😂 So, thanks for the suggestion. ^.^
yeah try not to do this: "become more concerned with how the other person views me". Dont do that because then you aren't paying attention them when you are busy paying attention to yourself, pay attention to what they have to say, listen, and dont distract yourself with nonesense lol. become involved with the conversation, not yourself lol. But yeah try that, and see how it works out for you.

@TerryMcCain I can understand... It's your taxes paying for this treason, its not like the illegals there are paying for this, yet it's you that's going to be carrying the weight of that burden.
Meh I own farm I grow my food I only get meat from store. So land tax is only thing hits me hard other then the state taxes.

Lol yeah sounds like you have it good for now, wait until you have to pay bills for everything you don't need, even if you aren't the one making use or benefiting from it, you will be carrying the weight of others, like those illegals. They oppress the NPC's into the feeling of guilt about others incompetences and failures, and then forces everyone to make up for it, even if you aren't responsible for it. Can't believe how braindead they are, and I think the NPC meme really highlights this lol hence the resistance to it.
