Hmm necrophilia is an interesting philosophical discussion

2019-07-28 01:03:18 UTC

@Dr.Cosby but marxism cant be mixed with capitalism

2019-07-28 01:03:49 UTC

2019-07-28 01:04:00 UTC

😎

2019-07-28 01:04:28 UTC

As classy is lowercase it's not a name but he is classy. He has class.

2019-07-28 01:04:29 UTC

I'll admit that I'm not an expert on marxism - but I don't think that the emancipation of working class people is necessarily prevented by capitalistic principles

2019-07-28 01:04:57 UTC

If I am mistaken about the definitions and they are actually totally incompatible, I will change my tags to reflect this

2019-07-28 01:05:15 UTC

marx wrote that capitalism needs to be abolished

2019-07-28 01:05:21 UTC

due to wages

2019-07-28 01:05:27 UTC

What if we kissed in the concentration camp 😳 😳 😳

2019-07-28 01:05:30 UTC

Yeah, he was very much a purist when it came to his ideologies

2019-07-28 01:06:03 UTC

not really

2019-07-28 01:06:17 UTC

at any stage of capitalism workers are being exploited

2019-07-28 01:07:10 UTC

because only 1 person owns the MOP

2019-07-28 01:07:16 UTC

in capitalism

2019-07-28 01:13:56 UTC

I think some amount of capitalism is important to encourage innovation, performance, and competition

2019-07-28 01:15:13 UTC

Completely eliminating classes is unrealistic (at least before some kind of a technological singularity)

2019-07-28 01:15:36 UTC

so looking at the USSR

2019-07-28 01:15:46 UTC

who kicked the U.S ass in the space race

2019-07-28 01:15:55 UTC

But simply going by "supply and demand" is also very inadequate

2019-07-28 01:16:01 UTC

invented laser eye surgery

2019-07-28 01:16:05 UTC

made a lot of computers

2019-07-28 01:16:13 UTC

and they came from feudalism

2019-07-28 01:16:19 UTC

and had like 19% literacy

2019-07-28 01:16:55 UTC

but after the USSR was made they were up to 97% in the 70s

2019-07-28 01:17:45 UTC

what's poopin?

2019-07-28 01:17:54 UTC

The USSR was both a strong boon for the Russian people and something that left a whole lot of damage (as well as the many issues with the system during it's implementation)

2019-07-28 01:18:26 UTC

My parents are Russians who lived their lives in the USSR before they had me (right around the fall of the USSR) and migrated to the USA

2019-07-28 01:18:40 UTC

Trust me, I have heard about a million stories (besides doing my own research)

2019-07-28 01:18:57 UTC

the USSR in the 80s and 90s wasnt great

2019-07-28 01:19:03 UTC

due to capitalist policies

2019-07-28 01:19:15 UTC

<:GWahreeSure:371317471187173377>

2019-07-28 01:19:34 UTC

and they spent way too much on the military

2019-07-28 01:20:03 UTC

The education was excellent, for the most part (as far as technical knowledge goes). But the scarcity of resources and limits on personal freedom were really terrible. Of course, there are confounding variables such as the iron curtain

Marxism is actually quite progressive as far as human rights go - but the USSR did not embrace those aspects of the ideology

2019-07-28 01:21:00 UTC

marxism is culturally far left so yes

2019-07-28 01:21:55 UTC

I find religion (especially the organized kind) really awful and terrible - but even more terrible were the government sanctions (or prohibitions?) on practicing religion

2019-07-28 01:22:10 UTC

(as one example)
