number one, the dating techniques are not very accurate, there is a large range of time, number two there aren't many samples in the first place

so that entire height study could be based on like a sample of 10-30

or less

and probably even from a particular region

data only really become statistically significant when you have like 1500-3000 subjects in a sample

and then again it would only really be significant for the regional demographic studied

so like heights in poland or something
