i don't think the cylinder would turn fast enough lol
You don't, is how
Either manually operated or FA only
and the latter only for the big boys
aircraft cannons and such
Revolvers can shoot fast, bruh
that's a lot of dakka
It is a very big revolver
And it is a revolver because of the high fire rate
Yeah, but that's externally powered
idk if you'd be able to make a handheld one function fast enough though
There isn't a guy sitting there working a very big trigger to turn the cylinder
At that caliber it would be too heavy to make it a gatling gun, so instead it is a gatling-esque revolver with just one barrel
Literally what I was saying
@Tohob Au contrail mein Schatz. Soviet union actually made a full-auto revolver once
huh, that's pretty wild
It's just soviet gun prototypes are not widely known to the world
A true handheld full-auto revolver that was fed from a belt!
operated by gasses and in a clever twist ejected empty shells with a gas too!
Because an inventor could
No other reason
Oh, forgot to mention why it makes sense
Gatling guns and full-auto revolvers exist to have an insanely fast fire rate
You see, if you will use the usual rocking-back-and-forth mechanism to feed at 2000RPM speed, you will start stripping your rounds from bullets or seating the bullet deeper into the round as it is being jerked suddenly to either side
handheld gatling gun when?
In a gatling/revlover, the round is inserted into the chamber gradually while the cylinder rotates, thus reducing the lateral speed of loading
So now you can use the very conventional ammo for your crazy fire rate gun thingy
@missdanger XM556 Microgun
P90 sized gatling gun
I am trying to find the museum photo of russian crazy revolver prototype
And I suppose the M134 can technically be handheld
You aint hitting the ground if you fire that straight down like that but you know
So this chat is strictly firearms or also related topics?
Look at the description
Weekendgunnit is like 40% firearms
The closest thing to a handheld gatling you can get
1800 to 2000 RPM is no joke
