a corpse isn't a person
or even a living thing
When someone is unconscious, asleep, a vegetable or dead, for at least that moment they cease to be your loved ones, they cease to be your enemies they cease to be active

That he has to blur out a fucking flag is the stupidest shit ever
lego indiana jones videogame is a pretty weird experience. you know the enemies are definitely nazis, but it's obscured. i guess children cant handle that symbol.
or they wanted to sell in germany and were lazy
heh yeah probably
i think that is what is happening to battlefield 5, i didn't notice any actual swastikas
they just using the iron cross instead?
Germany is a big market for games and nazi images re banned.
Swasticas are allowed for certain cases like education and art. Until the last couple months it had never been challenged that video games should be allowed to show swasticas because they are art, but an indie game recently did so and won their case.
i think it was just blank red flags or something, i dont quite remember, and just red bands around their arms, mostly just make them look like generic soldiers
so that case would set precedent for every other game to be able to have them
@Schedrevka a few videos that were forced to censor the swastika would beg to differ
And yes, I believe they just have the iron cross
And a German flag
if you show a swastika you will be arrested by the secret police
A corpse can’t consent. But a corpse also can’t lack consent ; ^ )
Yeah, I know censorship is rampant in German video games, I was just explaining *why* it is that way, and why that may change in the future now that the precedent has been set.
Not that I expect it to instantly change, it's still going to take one AAA publisher to have some balls before the others feel safe
But now they just need to worry about PR issues rather than legal issues
i think one AAA team could take a hit from one measely country from EU lol
i dont think any other country would care that a AAA team fought for the right to not have to censor their art
An indie team already set the precedent that it can be OK in a video game. Assuming that would mean it's fine for other games that's why I say it would just be a PR issue. But really no amount of pearl clutching is going to stop a video game from selling.
i assume its more likely that the indy game is too small, and the team didn't care if they had sales in germany
where as AAA are too afraid of being sued
Like I said this court decision only happened in the last few months, so it may take some time for its affects to be seen.
How to stop mass shootings.
maybe if a mass is doing the shooting
nah get flamethrower
from Elon's Boring Company
just get the same guns cops use to stop mass shooters
oh right those are illegal
Why don't they just make the mass shootings illegal 🤔
Look at the pistol grip.
This is in California.
