so that's not a firearm
incidentally, cap-and-ball revolvers are reportedly popular with felons

Black powder firearms (such as that caplock) still count as firearms. However they are not regulated like most other firearms. IIRC you can buy them anywhere without a background check and get them delivered straight to your doorstep, things that are (outside of specific circumstances) illegal for any other firearm.

Oh. Didn't notice this subsection before. I have a great argument for this. Because I'm American.
These next sentences are indirectly about the Gun debate, and is a Pro-Freedom argument. Should we put Speed limiters on, and Ban all Vehicles that don't have Safety measures to automatically stop when the sensors detect humanoid shapes because people can use vehicles to kill people? That's just one very nuanced argument. ;D
