You know I have been in TX for over 2 years and still don't have a revolver or a lever action

2019-01-18 22:33:48 UTC

For shame

2019-01-18 22:35:34 UTC

Uberti black powder revolvers are nice and cheap plus they’re fun to tinker with and icing on the cake dirt cheap to shoot

2019-01-18 23:11:55 UTC

My local shop is selling a .500 S&W and I'm tempted

2019-01-19 00:05:48 UTC

I wouldn't after firing one round of .500 S&W most people either never shoot it again or return the revolver.

2019-01-19 00:07:01 UTC

Also for the price you could buy a nice .44 magnum or .357 magnum plus have money left over to buy plenty of ammo or another gun as well.

2019-01-19 00:18:08 UTC

Personally I think it's more a coffee table gun than anything else.

2019-01-19 00:18:48 UTC

after shooting a few rounds of .454 Casull no thanks

2019-01-19 02:26:45 UTC

Yeah i remember watching an older iv8888 video and they said a lot of people would sell theirs or return the range rental after firing a few shots

2019-01-19 02:27:18 UTC

Not even using the whole cylinder lol

2019-01-19 02:28:09 UTC

How many people bought a S&W .44 Mag after watching Dirty Harry, fired one shot and never shot it again?

2019-01-19 02:28:34 UTC

Lol

2019-01-19 02:29:38 UTC

If i buy another revolver outside of the saa repro and a black powder revolver i plan on buying, i'll probably go with ruger

2019-01-19 02:29:45 UTC

I am serious, a lot of FFLs I talked to over the years told me about traded in S&W .44s that had 2 shots in the (1 factory and 1 range)

2019-01-19 02:29:52 UTC

S&w's hillary hole is a dealbreaker for me

2019-01-19 02:30:15 UTC

These were from the 70's and 80's

2019-01-19 02:30:25 UTC

Yeah ik, talking about now

2019-01-19 02:31:20 UTC

I kind of want a governor because it can shoot .45ACP as well as "Bubba stupid" but

@Khanclansith people were retarded with the .44 magnum as you can shoot .44 special out of it and work you're way up to the magnum, same as with .38 special/.357 mag. The problem with .500 magnum is there is no real "lighter" cartridge option. Sure they make .500 special but that sucker is still a heavy projectile (350 grain), going 1000ish fps and hitting with a 1000 ft-lbs of energy so still quite the hand cannon round.

I'm with Karl on that.

in his last Q&A with Ian.

2019-01-19 07:02:39 UTC

and if you open carry, carry it in front of you, not behind you like she did

2019-01-19 07:27:15 UTC

you can always load the cartridge down

2019-01-19 07:27:46 UTC

but .50 is pretty big and stovepiped rounds suck

2019-01-19 07:28:07 UTC

but yeah, you won't find light standard shit on the shelves of your local store.

2019-01-19 07:28:20 UTC

Fuck, with 500 S&W you'll be lucky if it's not buffalo bore

2019-01-19 07:32:03 UTC

I like big bore handguns but I've never been fond of the revolvers above 44 mag

2019-01-19 07:32:29 UTC

I can shoot them but it causes stress in my hand that makes me unable to shoot other things

2019-01-19 07:33:36 UTC

.454 casull is cool though

2019-01-19 07:43:15 UTC

I would love a wildey pistol

2019-01-19 07:44:54 UTC

.45 winmag or the .475 wildey cartridge

2019-01-19 07:44:57 UTC

something wonderful

2019-01-19 07:49:58 UTC

I would get a major fucking boner if I could get my hands on a good, modern, 45 winmag pistol

2019-01-19 07:51:16 UTC

.45 winmag is almost an intermediate cartridge

2019-01-19 07:53:09 UTC

the problem is that all of the designs are shit stuff that's super picky

2019-01-19 07:53:36 UTC

the 1911-alikes and the wildeys are the only ones I'm aware of
