personally i would also cover things that fall under ethnicity into race because cultural factors which are predicated on psychological and behavural tendences effect isolational tendences in large groups of people

the fact it is not biological is simple. Two Germans can move to America. They can have a kid in America, their child would not be a different race, however his ethnicity could easily be American depending on how his parents raised him should he later move to Germany.
