i think males underestimate the number of females inhabiting the internet, often along side them. I.E. here on discord.

or in videogames

you might encounter MMO players who have encounter few females, then take them to a part of the game they don't care about, and suddenly they are surrounded with more females than they though even played the game.

OK, but you're assuming you know what other males think about the amount of women on the internet. You claimed you thought there would be 0 women here, so is it possible you're overestimating what the average male thinks based on what you previously thought?

From the data I've seen in the past it's much closer to it than sites like reddit, but then who knows how reliable the data is on 4chan of all places

your statement about women on the internet reminds me of the gamers statement
"more than 50% for gamers are women"

it is true, if you account for mobile games and disregard the amount of hours played, and ignore that most "games" women play, aren't really games

@Schedrevka let's put it this way, everywhere I've been on the internet, the running joke is that there is no women. Only men and men pretending to be women. Technically I can't say for sure most men think that. But given that even here, the running default for any user is for them to be male. So I have rarely encountered a situation where that wasn't the case. Well, until tumblr. Then the default was female or mental disorder.
