which seem to hold the female market
and children
most games aren't appealing to women
i'm confused. I though you were arguing that the internet these days is not filled with way more female influence than people care to admit
it's like I said from the start, women started focusing on social media after it became a thing, they dont usually like anonymous settings
Apparently WoW is slowly switching to mostly Wahmen for total time played
Oh this was a while ago
women play MMOs, that doesn't mean they do the same things
So yeah, MMOs are closer to the 40/60 and 50/50 split
they waste way more time chatting and socializing
decoration and fashion also became a thing in MMOs
theres also collectibles, etc
men focus on competition
in those same games
and status
Fantasy mmos to be specific. Scifi based mmos skew much more towards male
I was talking mostly about FFXIV
Final Fantasy 14 (and 11)
But yeah the data shows that men and women have different reasons for playing mmos with women being more likely to cite the social aspects
Final Fantasy: the game series where the number doesn't mean anything anymore aside from its not the other games
lmao
not really
you started with, "theres a lot of females, we just assume they are men"
we said there aren't that many, and they become easily identifiable as women after a while
this depends on the type of interaction though, I guess
Demo wise that assumption still happens though
When you're dealing with populations and not individuals
what do you mean?
ahh..yes
you will always assume at first that a women is a man online
but you will be statistically accurate 😂
Not always. Sometimes the username gives it away.
Or the picture.
And that a large group of people are men, even on social media
I've seen a lot of men trying to pass as women too
Remember how the studies on twitter harrassment blew people's minds?
because they want the status, free stuff, etc. They want to know how it feels like
yep
I still think the number of females on the internet is grossly underestimated by males. Perhaps because male and female interest divides so much
and because historically, it was mostly men
