I'm talking about bad games, not the publishers

2018-08-01 23:32:48 UTC

so they released the same game year after year

2018-08-01 23:33:01 UTC

He has a point, Konami didn’t just kill MGS. They made it’s dead body into a puppet. Charging ten dollars for an extra save slot....

2018-08-01 23:33:35 UTC

I know, and i blame publishers for a chuck of those bad games.

2018-08-01 23:33:59 UTC

tbh, it's a discussion I dont really care. Let them die off

2018-08-01 23:34:01 UTC

all 3

2018-08-01 23:34:02 UTC

EA with battlefront 2, TakeTwo with GTA and nearly killing the PC version.

2018-08-01 23:34:07 UTC

Hollywood, media, AAA

2018-08-01 23:34:34 UTC

it's been years since I bought a AAA game

2018-08-01 23:35:05 UTC

Yeah, it would be nice if that happened. Problem is that they won’t just die, they’ll starve grasping at there influence and money.

2018-08-01 23:35:07 UTC

most games with a lot of relevance and popularity also tend to be indies

2018-08-01 23:35:13 UTC

nowadays

2018-08-01 23:35:17 UTC

activision basically killed bungie

2018-08-01 23:35:24 UTC

they have less issues with streaming rights, etc

2018-08-01 23:35:40 UTC

ayyyy minecraft

2018-08-01 23:35:48 UTC

indy games have an easier time getting out these days than in the past

2018-08-01 23:36:04 UTC

if valve made games, maybe you'd buy a triple AAA game 😛

2018-08-01 23:36:11 UTC

that's not the point, the thing is that AAA games became shit

2018-08-01 23:36:22 UTC

make AAA great again

2018-08-01 23:36:32 UTC

we can make them great again by killing them

2018-08-01 23:36:41 UTC

Real talk, crowd funding mainstream dev companies instead of making them use a publisher has made some gems. Such as Divinity 2

2018-08-01 23:36:59 UTC

i mean

2018-08-01 23:37:07 UTC

personally, I don't really care. I used to play MMOs and MOBAS, those continue to be around. After that I just play indies

2018-08-01 23:37:07 UTC

games made for profit, usually start to suck

2018-08-01 23:37:11 UTC

and japanese games

2018-08-01 23:37:14 UTC

crowd funding has also made absolute dumpster fires

2018-08-01 23:37:29 UTC

and that is different from AAA.....?

2018-08-01 23:37:37 UTC

what is? crowdfunding?

2018-08-01 23:37:42 UTC

Yep, gotta choose the right peoole to fund.

2018-08-01 23:37:52 UTC

i will never forgive EA for what they did to sim city

2018-08-01 23:37:52 UTC

XD no mans sky was crowd funded right?

2018-08-01 23:38:06 UTC

crowd funding

2018-08-01 23:38:09 UTC

NMS has actually fixed a lot of shit recently

2018-08-01 23:38:14 UTC

i'm actually impressed now

2018-08-01 23:38:25 UTC

yeah i heard

2018-08-01 23:38:27 UTC

yeah i won't even bother looking at EA's trailers anymore

2018-08-01 23:38:36 UTC

They fixed a lot of shit, game has aged like wine instead of rotted 😃

2018-08-01 23:38:54 UTC

i actually picked it recently. been having a lot of fun

2018-08-01 23:39:20 UTC

although i think it was on sale

2018-08-01 23:39:22 UTC

lol

2018-08-01 23:39:44 UTC

Same goes for Conan exiles. Kick started and early access, was complete shit. On release it was decent though and had aged well.
