Real talk, crowd funding mainstream dev companies instead of making them use a publisher has made some gems. Such as Divinity 2
i mean
personally, I don't really care. I used to play MMOs and MOBAS, those continue to be around. After that I just play indies
games made for profit, usually start to suck
and japanese games
crowd funding has also made absolute dumpster fires
and that is different from AAA.....?
what is? crowdfunding?
Yep, gotta choose the right peoole to fund.
i will never forgive EA for what they did to sim city
XD no mans sky was crowd funded right?
crowd funding
NMS has actually fixed a lot of shit recently
i'm actually impressed now
yeah i heard
yeah i won't even bother looking at EA's trailers anymore
They fixed a lot of shit, game has aged like wine instead of rotted 😃
i actually picked it recently. been having a lot of fun
although i think it was on sale
lol
Same goes for Conan exiles. Kick started and early access, was complete shit. On release it was decent though and had aged well.
Also dongs
@.B crowdfunding is stuff like indiegogo
what did they change that made it not dumpsterfireish
do we count early access games as sort of crowd funded?
So hanging outside a Mexican restaurant. I can't tell the difference between their music and polka
i feel like early access is close to crowd funding
Somewhat, If they depend on the money while deving it maybe.
because i have a few EA games that turned out really good
7 days to die, Kerbal Space Program
7 Days is great.
you get a similar success rate i think
All dependent on the company or people really.
i mean, i have dayz standalone so you know
lmao
oh, project zombiod
if you like 7 days, check out zombiod
its how the money is distributed relative to the licencing
is the difference
Best zombie game I ever played, love zombid
i haven't played recently. it has NPCs now doesn't it?
No, but it has cars with a full mechanic system and dashboard
