Well, @.B, I can say with confidence that American Universities have been quietly implementing affirmative action in favor of boys for over a decade now.

They can't really do much publicly because their hands are tied by the feminists who demand more and more tribute. So they instead end up focusing on the STEM fields and apply affirmative action there (for women) and add more women-only programs.
Meanwhile, the admissions departments at mid-level schools are wringing their hands trying to increase male recruitment (and they then go create programs on "Toxic Masculinity" because if gender studies helped women, it *must* be able to help men, right?)
The academics lack the spine to stand up to the feminists and are all hard-left. Some are consistent though.
