If you're a young person, go into trades
They're already in high demand because most kids go to university
You can make a shit ton of money being a plumber, electrician, welder, etc
^
Welding especially
Learn it
Then master it
And, boy, you're in for a stable, well-earning job
career, even
Def
Need the body for it
I only know basic welding
Started messing around with it around 12 years old
I also took a shop class in middle school
Worst mistake I made was staring into the welding light from my "tutor's" demonstration (Just a friend of my guitar teacher who was willing to teach me some basics) for a good number of minutes
I don't think they should get public funding if they choose people by ideology though
Agreed
I'm okay with defunding all universities lol
same
but they were going into, private matters
like... spying on students to make the pick
What about tech institutes, though?
Regardless of Silicon Valley
I mean the less social ones
The very technical, hands-on approach type stuff where you deal with concrete stuff
Concrete as in solid, not the composite material
You could argue it's in the public benefit to invest in the STEM fields and trades
If that acronym stays like that
she's cute
Oh you big silly.
Unlike this "STEAM" suggestion
@.B only reasonible people can be reasoned with
it was the first time I heard a group defending ideology picks for education
that and the word "disruptive"
if a student is "disruptive" they would pick someone else, even with less ability
I thought the point of education WAS being disruptive for the most part
What would you even achieve with a bunch of sheep?
Superficial homogeny
I even tried like
"Imagine you got a really racist kid that was brilliant? Why wouldn't you use that chance to change him?"
