Yeah, I can understand someone saying "killing animals is wrong", but saying it's *murder* is just wrong. It's like saying piracy is theft. They're not the same thing. They can both be bad, but one is worse than the other.
That's something I think about veganism. By becoming vegan you instantly remove yourself from the business of meat. You won't convince someone to treat animals better because you're not their customer. By not being vegan but choosing to only buy more ethically farmed meat you'll have a bigger impact.
Also if you are used to sights of butchery, then using dead animals is pretty shoddy. I know more sheltered city fellows may never get to see their food prepared, but there is so many who are used to the reality of their foods origin.
I may agree that abortion is amoral but those ASSHOLES with posters of dead babies on signs are the fucking worst, and if anything, people will believe the opposite of what they do just to spite them.
Really though the whole "ewww look at where chicken nuggets come from!" shit is dumb. We should be applauding the way they recycle every last bit of meat.
Vegans won't eat meat because they dont want to support the cruelty to animals but they all have iPhones that contain cobalt which mostly comes from the Congo so they are more than happy to support child labor
